Our NAUI dive centers are located between Playa del Carmen and Akumal Bay. They are located strategically in front of amazing coral reef sites, and are no more than 15 minutes away from the underground river systems (Cenotes).

Playa del Carmen is located approximately one hour south of Cancun. In this place there are several dive spots available to you according to your experience. This is the initial open water certification. With this certification you are able to dive in the open water areas (guided or with another diver) in the ocean, lakes or rivers, or in the cavern zone (but there only guided!!!). Once certified you do not need to renew or extend the certification, it is for life!!!

Technical dives may be defined as being either dives to depths deeper than 130 feet / 40 meters or dives in an overhead environment with no direct access to the surface or natural light. Such environments may include fresh and saltwater caves and the interior of shipwrecks. In many cases, technical dives also include planned decompression carried out over a number of stages during a controlled ascent to the surface at the end of the dive.
